Navigate to the potentials area. Via the provided drop-down menus you can set the accounts, plans and views.
- Setting accounts
- The first drop-down menu in the “Potentials” tab includes the stored accounts. Select the desired account (options are e.g. P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow or Staff movements).
- The available accounts are defined at the beginning of the implementation (usually with controlling) and are based on the account structure of your company. The accounts can be stored in German and English.
- Setting value lists
- The second drop-down menu in the “Potentials” tab refers to the relevant value list.
- By default, there are three available value lists: Act/FC, Plan, and Plan 2. The Plan and Plan 2 value lists can e.g. correspond to a budget, management case, or sensitivity case. If required, additional value lists can be defined.
- The initial filling of potentials in impact is usually done in Act/FC with subsequent transfer of the potentials to further value lists. The continuous update of potentials is done in the Act/FC value list.
- Setting views
- Use the third drop-down menu to select the starting year of your current view.
- Use the fourth drop-down menu to define the intervals (monthly, quarterly, yearly). Potentials are always entered on a monthly basis/view. The quarterly and yearly views are aggregations of the relevant months.
- The fifth drop-down menu allows you to define the number of years to be displayed.
