The initial program structure in impact is usually created by the PMO or by administrators in the app mode "PMO" or "Impact". The top folder level is created by the software provider.
In principle, you may create as many folder levels as you wish before you create a first “program” element. Using the editing bar, you can create programs, projects, measure packages and measures, whereby the order of the levels is predefined as mentioned - i.e. a measure can only be created below a measure package, and a measure package only below a project.
Once the initial structure has been created and user rights have been assigned to the responsible persons, responsible persons can e.g. independently create new measure packages and measures.
- Before you create an initial program structure in impact, it is advisable to plan and define a content structure for the program outside of impact in advance.
- After the initial creation, the program structure can be adapted, extended and consolidated as desired via the editing bar.
- As PMO or administrator, you can use the export/reimport function to define the program structure in Excel first and then upload it. Impact sets up the program tree for you accordingly.
